Credit Union COVID-19 Update

We would like to advise Members that the CICSA Cooperative Credit Union is proactively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and its effect on our operations and Members. On Wednesday, 12 March, the Government announced that the first confirmed case of COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus, has been identified here in the Cayman Islands.

As the situation continues to evolve, the Credit Union remains in close contact with all the relevant local government agencies for the latest updates and we’re actively working to minimize disruptions. Staff and Member health and well-being are of utmost importance to us, so we are taking precautions in our branches to ensure we increase safety. Rest assured, we are following hygiene recommendations from government and international health authorities.

Should you need to visit the CICSA Co-op Credit Union branches, we request that you also follow the same recommendations to:

  1. Wash your hands frequently & thoroughly
  2. Cover your nose & mouth when sneezing or coughing
  3. Avoid anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms

However, as an extra precaution, we also ask that you practice what the USA Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) refers to as “social distancing”. This means that if you need to visit the Credit Union, please maintain a minimum of 6 feet between you and the next individual in line.

We understand that our financial services are an essential part of Members’ daily lives. As such, we encourage Credit Union Members to take advantage of the banking options that don’t require a visit to the branch. These are:

  1. Email – You may request transfers from your shares account to your savings account by emailing our Member Services team. Member.services@cicsacu.com.ky
  2. Online – You may check your savings account balance online. If you haven’t already signed up for online banking access, please contact our Member Services team via email or telephone.
  3. ATM – You may make deposits and withdraws via our ATM machine. If you don’t already have an ATM card, please contact our Member Services team by email or telephone. If you use the ATM machine, please also practice social distancing if you need to wait in line.

Our Member Services team also remains available by email and phone for general inquiries as well. Their contact info is:
