Mr. Tibbetts is Accountant General with the Treasury Department and has worked in various roles throughout the public service. Initially joining Government’s Internal Audit Unit in 2001, Matthew went on to work in a number of Ministries, Portfolios, and a Statutory Authority in the role of Chief Financial Officer before joining the Treasury Department in September 2015. He holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and in Marketing from the University of South Florida where he graduated in 2001.
Mr. Tibbetts has a total of sixteen years of public sector experience and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). At the Credit Union Mr. Tibbetts has served as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for one year and Chairman of the Credit Committee for three years.
Ms. Burke-Richardson is a retired banker of 39 years, an established retail entrepreneur since 1976 and a Member of the Credit Union since 1997.
Ms. Burke-Richardson brings a vast amount of experience to the Credit Committee as a Banker of 39 years. She has previously held the role of a Commercial Loan Officer and has experience in Debt Collections and Financial Counseling.
Ms. Keisha Yates is the Finance Manager at the Port Authority of the Cayman Islands. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of accounting within the Cayman Islands Government. Ms. Yates’ experience covers all aspects of accounting including international financial reporting standards as well as generally accepted accounted principles. She is also experienced in preparing financial statements and providing analysis on variances for the Management Committee and Board of Directors of the Port Authority.
Ms. Yates graduated from Barry University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Mr. Obi is the Chief Valuation Officer in the Cayman Islands Government. He leads the Valuation Office which is responsible for advising the Government on all real estate matters including acquisition, disposal, leasing and management. He also has delegated responsibility from the Minister of Finance for the assessment and collection of stamp duty on all real estate transactions.
Mr. Obi has over 25 years real estate consultancy experience gained in the UK and Caribbean within the private and public sector. He is a member of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Global Governing Council, RICS Caribbean Advisory Group and previously served on the RICS Americas World Region Board. Also, he is the RICS Cayman Chapter Chair. Furthermore, he serves as the Chairman, First Baptist Christian School Board and is a deacon of the Church.
Mr. Obi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management, a Master’s degree in Property Valuation and Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Systems Analysis and Design from the City University Business School in London, England. He is married to Jondo and they have 2 children. He enjoys playing and watching soccer.
Beverley D. McField-Walters is the Head of Finance and Accounting with the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI). She has over 32 years of experience working within the accounting field. Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything she does, both professionally and personally. In her spare time, she travels, reads, and enjoys attending functions with her large family and friends. She has served on the Credit Committee for 17 years and been a member of the Credit Union since 1987.
Ida Jane Ebanks
Ida Jane Ebanks joined the Ministry of Finance & Economic Development in the Treasury Department on 8th December,1997 and has been serving in the capacity of SNR EPS Reporting Accountant since 2006. Prior to 2006 Jane worked in various sections of the Treasury Department. She graduated from the Cayman Islands High School in 1983. Prior to her employment with the Cayman Islands Government Jane worked in the Tourism Industry. Jane has been a member of the Credit Union since 2004.
Asaph Scott works in the financial services industry and was previously an Analyst in the Insurance Supervision Division at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (“CIMA”).
Asaph has a Certificate of Insurance acquired a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Actuarial Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics from the University of Southampton and University College London, respectively. In his free time, he loves travelling around the world and experiencing many different cultures. In the future, he aspires to become an investment portfolio manager and potentially open his own investment consultancy firm. He has been a member of the Credit Union for 14 years.
